Lorena
   Lorena Escalante - Class of 2016

Lorena is currently in her first semester at the College of Education working on her field work training at Peter Howell Elementary School in a second grade classroom. Lorena originally wanted to pursue a nursing degree, but recognized her calling in education after working as a Reading Instructional Assistant at Homer Davis Elementary. Lorena is a representative for the College of Education Student Council, and works part time for both the UArizona Bookstores and Parent & Family Programs (PFP). Read more about Lorena.
Candace Abrams - Class of 2000 

Candace is currently entering her second year as University of Arizona's volunteer assistant softball coach. Before joining the Lady Wildcats, she was the assistant coach at Barry University under Head Coach Danielle Penner. Read more about Candace and her outstanding career as a softball player and her coaching career.
   
Ashley Monceaux   Ashley Monceaux - Class of 2002

Ashley is currently an assistant softball coach at the University of Evansville. Prior to this position, she served as a coordinator and coach for the Mustangs Softball Organization in Kansas from 2008-2009. Ashley was a standout athlete during her collegiate careers at Baylor University and Pima Community College. Read more about Ashley.
Christopher Clinkingbeard - Class of 2009

Chris was on the FW Football Team, and was active in Agriculture and FFA. After his graduation in June 2009, he joined the USMC. After completion of basic training in San Diego, CA he was stationed at Camp Pendleton as part of the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines. However, in October 2010 he was deployed to Afghanistan. He recently married another FW graduate, Lauren (Braun) Clinkingheard, Class of 2009.
 

   
    Jeremy Dimmick - Class of 2009 

In August 2009 Jeremy began his education at Valley Forge Military College in Wayne, Pennsylvania. He will complete his training at Valley Forge in May 2010. This June, he will attend the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is the first Flowing Wells graduate to achieve this honor. Jeremy will spend the first 2 years working on his core curriculum classes, and will be majoring in mechanical engineering.
Jeff Thomas - Class of 1998

The University of Puget Sound Loggers have named Jeff Thomas as their new head football coach! After high school, Thomas graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Government from the University of Redlands. He was a member of the football team and was named CoSIDA Academic All-District as a senior. In 2005, he earned his Masters Degree in Education. He has coached since 2003 with the University of Redlands, and was named the 2009 Division III AFCA Assistant Coach of the Year and also served as the offensive and defensive coordinator. 
   

    Miciah Beard - Class of 1993

Chef Miciah Beard has worked extensively in the culinary industry, training with several accomplished, award winning chefs. His love of cooking began at an early age, helping his mother in her kitchen. He gained experience as a banquet chef, sous chef, and has worked in two Mobile 5 star restaurants. He has traveled extensively and specializes in Pacific Rim cuisine. He is currently the executive chef at Bob's Steak & Chop House at the Omni Tucson National.
Jessica Cox - Class of 2001 

Now an inspirational speaker, Jessica Cox will reach a national audience when TLC features her on the hour-long special “Born without Arms.” She impressed attendees of AOPA Aviation Summit in Tampa, Fla., this November with a demonstration of the type of “out of the shoe” thinking it takes to become the first sport pilot without arms.
   


  James Burkett - Class of 2009 

Congratulations to James Burkett for his recent accomplishments in the United States Army. James has completed his basic training at Fort Benning, GA. He also completed AIT at Fort Jackson, SC. He is currently a Human Resources Specialist and is awaiting his active duty assignment.
 Skye Schultz - Class of 2009 

UTEP soccer player Skye Schultz has been tabbed as the 2009 Conference USA Freshman of the Year. Schultz burst onto the scene, compiling seven goals, a C-USA leading nine assists for a team-best 23 points in playing a large role for the league’s top-rated attack. The gifted forward has started all but one match this year and is on track to become the first freshman to pace the team in points since 2006.
   
    Casey Moore - Class of 2009 

Casey is attending the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Port, NY. She is majoring in Marine Engineering and is also a member of their division 3 women's swim team. After she completes 4 years at the Academy she will be eligible to transfer to any branch of the service or sail with the Maritime Ministry.
Alex Davis - Class of 2006

Alex is a senior at the University of Arizona majoring in Physical Education and a midfielder on the women’s soccer team. Alex is a past recipient of the university's C.A.T.S. Academics award. The staff named her one of six Wildcats winners of Student-Athlete of the Month honors for November-December 2008. C.A.T.S. and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics recognized the student-athletes for demonstrating the greatest commitment to academic success through diligence and performance in the classroom. 
 

  Marcus Titus-Class of 2005 

Marcus Titus is a member of the University of Arizona's Men's Swimming Team. He recently won the NCAA championship for the 100-meter breaststroke and broke the Arizona 100 breaststroke record. Congratulations on a great season!
 Abyee Maracigan - Class of 2008 

Abyee helped lead Pima College to a 28-6 overall record and third place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association championships. Former Flowing Wells High School coach, Todd Holthaus, coaches the team. Abyee averaged 15 points and seven rebounds for the Aztecs. She has recently signed a letter of intent to play for Idaho State. Here's a recent article about Abyee.
   
    Michael Aragon - Class of 2005

Michael Aragon is a recent graduate from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He is in the top 10 percent of his class and was selected for Explosive Ordinance Disposal duty. He was also a member of the Academy crew (rowing) team. Michael will be commissioned as an officer ensign and begin his naval career in Florida where he will participate in an additional year of EOD training. He is engaged to be married to Kristy Barrett.
 Lisa McBride - Class of 2005

Lisa McBride concluded her standout career at Cal Poly in April. Lisa was a two-year starter for the Mustangs and a two-time Big West Player of the Week in helping lead Cal Poly to a 21-11 record. Lisa was the team's third-leading scoring, averaging nearly 11 points, and collected 5.8 rebounds per game.
   
    Sara (Batey) Baird - Class of 1994 

Sara (Batey) Baird is the 2009 Arizona Teacher of the Year. A kindergarten through fifth-grade math teacher at Kyrene de las Lomas and Kyrene del Milenio elementary schools in Phoenix, Ms. Biard received the award Wednesday in Scottsdale at a luncheon at the Camelback Inn. Sarah is a National Board Certified Teacher and has been teaching for 10 years. Ms. Baird has been education K-5 students in math for four years,. She attended Northern Arizona University where she earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education after receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. 
 Tara Erdmann - Class of 2007

Tara Erdmann, a junior at Loyola Marymount University, qualified for the 2008 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, IN. Erdmann, who also won the West Coast Conference Championship, was one of just four runners from the western region to qualify. A seven-time state champion at Flowing Wells, Tara earned all-WCC honors as well as WCC Freshman of the Year in 2007 and finished in the top-ten in all but three races this year. Read more>>>
   
    Tristany and Kirsten Leikem - Class of 2008

Kirsten and Tristany Leikem, sophomores at the University of Rhode Island helped lead the Rams to a 15-4 overall record last year. Kirsten was 15-12 in her matches, while Tristany was a very impressive 21-5. The twins were also 18-8 in doubles play.
Christopher Ayer - Class of 2002 

After playing basketball at Loyola Marymount for four years, Chris graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in History along with minors in Political Science and Animation. He signed his first professional basketball contract with the Heatdevils of Oita, Japan, where he completed two seasons. After a successful summer practicing with NBA players, Chris signed with the Okinawa Kings located in Okinawa, Japan, where he expects to have a successful season.
